Tambo Mundo

Tambo Mundo is a bed & breakfast where you can enjoy cosy places while you are close to nature, San Pedro and San José. Tambo is a word derived from the word Tampu of Quechua (indigenous language very common in South America) that means city that offers lodge, food and comfort to travellers. Mundo is the spanish word for ¨World. You will enjoy an amazing view of Braulio Carrillo National Park and Irazú Volcano in a big house with cozy common places

Tambo Mundo has big rooms with really big closets in most of the rooms for your things. Every room has its own private bathroom with lots of hot water.

Services included: we offer free wireless Internet access. Don't have a wireless card in your computer? Don't worry, every room in Tambo Mundo has cable for getting a fast connection to Internet!

Every room has a phone and local calls are included in the fare! Long stays have free laundry, short ones can pay 5$ per load.

Tambo Mundo has a common TV and computer room. There you can enjoy a broad variety of selected movies and documentaries.

Tambo Mundo is located close to the main universities of Costa Rica, Universidad Estatal a Distancia, Universidad de Costa Rica, Universidad Latina, ULACIT, Universidad del Diseño, Universidad Libre de Derecho and others. Tambo Mundo is in Montes de Oca, known because of its many Spanish school options.

Tambo Mundo has a common TV but if you want you can ask for cable TV in your room. We also offer a broad variety of selected movies and documentaries. Forgot your books? All our guest love our healthy breakfast! Fresh fruits, granola and other cereals, yoghurt, honey, toast of integral bread, home made marmalades, coffee, tea and natural orange juice! Want to try a big Costa Rican breakfast? Are you missing pancakes or just want to try our brochettes with fresh mushrooms? For 5$ extra ask for our warm specialties!

The house has a big living and dinner room and a deck with a beautiful view of the mountains and a small forest.
