Edwardian House Bed & Breakfast
Small privately run Edwardian town house which is well furnished and comfortable. Close to the beach, town centre, golf club and railway station. All our rooms have an en suite or private bathroom and all have tea/coffee making facilities and TV with freeview. Complimentary toiletries are provided. We serve a good cooked breakfast and also cereals, yoghurt, fruit juice and toast and preserves.
Whether you are visiting the area on business or pleasure you are sure of a warm welcome and this would make an ideal base. We are easily reached by the A19 and A66. The Wilton site is a short drive away. The railway station is just a short walk away and there are several bus stops nearby too.
There are several places of interest just a short drive away including Kirkleatham Museum and Owl sanctuary, The Dorman Museum in Middlesborough and Hartlepool Maritime Museum and also the beautiful Marina. For the more adventurous you could always try surfing at nearby Saltburn or maybe water skiing, canoeing or even white water rafting at Tees Barrage in Stockton. If you always fancied snorkeling or diving then give that a try too at South Gare. Travelling the other way you can take the moors road which will lead you over the North Yorkshire Moors to the old smugglers haunt of Staithes and then the historic town of Whitby and a little further along you will find Scarborough.
If it's peace and quiet you want then there are several lovely walks nearby including Guisborough Forest and Errington Woods. Not forgetting our beautiful beach. Also the nearby towns and villages of Stokesley, Guisborough and Great Ayton (the childhood home of Captain Cook) are not to be missed.
If golf is your game then there are several Golf Courses nearby and if you love bird watching then Coatham Marsh is just up the road.
