Nenthall Farmhouse is a traditional Cumbrian farmhouse set in the North Pennines, close to the Cumbria / Northumberland and County Durham borders, making it an ideal base for touring holidays in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The distinct landscape of moorland, valleys and the Pennine hills create a unique visitor attraction and a rich heritage.
Visitors to the local Lead Mining centres can learn about the impact of the industry on this rural landscape. A visit down the authentic mine is a must! Driving over Hartside Pass, visitors can enjoy the contrasting landscape of the North Lakes - visit the beautiful Lake Ullswater or the town of Keswick on the shores of Derwent water, nestling in the shadow of the dramatic peaks of the Lake District.
In contrast, Nenthall Farmhouse is within easy driving distance of Newcastle's bustling Metro Shopping Centre or the Cathedral city of Durham.
The Border City of Carlisle is a 45 minutes drive away.
The farmhouse can sleep up to ten people.
Breakfast is taken in the hotel restaurant. Residents are free to use the hotel facilities including the Coach House Inn, a Fine Dine restaurant, free internet access and two residents lounges.
The Farmhouse itself consists of three individual double bedrooms, another bedroom containing two double beds, leading to an attic double.
Shared lounge, kitchen and washroom/toilet. Packed lunches can be provided.
The Farmhouse is on the coast to coast cycle route, storage for bikes is available. The facilities make the Farmhouse ideal for groups of walkers, cyclists and is also available as a holiday let cottage.
