Whitecliff Cottage B&B
We're situated at the foot of Ballard Down in Swanage, Purbeck, the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, a two minute walk from the South West Coast Path and surrounded by National Trust farmland.
The B&B has been converted from 2 Victorian farm worker cottages and has a huge garden that guests are welcome to use, and when it's warm enough breakfast can be taken in the garden overlooking Swanage Bay.
We have two double rooms available - one of which can also be a twin-room. You will find the rooms cosy, the beds comfy (Vi-Spring), the bed linen luxurious and the bath towels fluffy - and we only let the second room to the same party or family.
Guests have a private bathroom where you can take a relaxing bath looking out at the fields and horses using local Lush products. Guests also have sole use of an upstairs sitting room which has a comfy sofa and chairs (the sofa can also turn into a bed should it be required) and is equipped with flat screen TV, DVD player and DVDs, ipod sound cradle, WiFi access, loads of books, board games and maps of the area, a small fridge, hot drink facilities, homemade cakes & biscuits - the perfect place to unwind after a hard day's walking or sight-seeing.
The cottage and garden offers you a relaxing and peaceful location away from the crowds. You're also near enough to be able to walk into Swanage or over the hill into Studland, both with their glorious award winning beaches, restaurants and pubs.
From the house there is direct access to the South West Coast Path, footpaths and bridleways that can take you to Corfe Castle and Studland.
The B&B works in conjunction with Studland Stables in offering tailored riding breaks. Studland Stables is a small yard situated in the lovely village of Studland and offers some of the most stunning riding in the UK.
We are keen supporters of local produce and all our sausages and bacon are sourced from local farmers, the chocolates in your room are from the award winning chocolate makers Chococo who are based in Swanage.
We will have our own chickens and bees so you can always collect your own breakfast!
We welcome everyone at the B&B, including walkers, cyclists and families with children. The B&B also provides facilities for those who enjoy the great outdoors, and for a small charge we can also have dogs by arrangement.
