Harmshay Farmhouse is a 16th Century Thatched Cottage set in one hundred acres of own farmland overlooking the beautiful Marshwood Vale, with the hill forts of Lamberts Castle, Coneys Castle and Pilsden Penn close by.

There are lovely places to walk all around with extensive views of the area. We offer three rooms for B&B, one large master-en-suite, l large Double King room with shared bathroom, both these rooms have open brickwork and beams and l standard double room with shared bathroom is also available.

All rooms have colour televisions sofas, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers and clock radios. We serve full English breakfast in our dining room, which has a inglenook fireplace with wood burner which is lit in the Winter months for your comfort.

Prices start at £25.00. pppn.

There is a country pub within walking distance that serves good food and real ales. We are located a short drive away from Lyme Regis and Charmouth, with their World Heritage Status and are particularly good for Fossil hunting.

The market town of Axminster is also not far with Hugh Fearnley Whittingstalls River Cottage shop in the town square. Dorset has many more things to offer for a day trip such as the famous Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum, the town of Corfe Castle and coastal towns of Weymouth and Swanage.

The border for Devon is just 2 miles away, with coastal towns such as Seaton, Sidmouth and the beautiful tranquil village of Beer and the National Parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor are near enough for an enjyable day out and if you want a shopping trip, Exeter is approx. 30 miles away and if you do not want to drive you can get a day return trip by train from Axminster.

The Somerset border is just 3 miles away with the towns of Crewkerne and Yeovil or why not visit the caves at Cheddar or Wookey Hole for a day out. If you just want to relax you are welcome to sit in our garden and enjoy the peace and quiet, or roam around our fields and enjoy the wildlife.
