Situated on the edge of the beautiful Durham Dales, Bee Cottage enjoys a quiet, peaceful location with stunning views all round. This is a great location to unwind and the perfect place to relax. There are plenty of footpaths and cycle tracks in the area.

We are close to the C2C (Coast to Coast) long distance cycle route. We have lock up facilities for cycles and a large car park. There are two conservatory dinning rooms and two guests' lounges. All rooms are en-suite with TV, tea-making facilities and hairdryer. Some ground floor rooms available in our annex, where pets are allowed.

We offer clean and comfortable accommodation. Non-smoking throughout. Dinner available. Within easy reach of Durham City, Newcastle, Hexham, Corbridge, Hadrian's Wall, Blanchand Medievel Village, Beamish Museum, Barnard Castle, Bowes Museum. Middleton in Teesdale, High Force. A little further afield is Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Cragside House, Wallington House, Belsay Hall, Holy Island, the Farne Islands, Bamburgh Castle, and the beautiful Northumberland coast.

We can help you plan your day from the large amount of information we keep about the area. Prices start from £32 pppn for double or twin rooms and £40 for single occupancy. Three course dinner, served at 7pm, costs £18 each, including coffee.

We will do our best to make your stay an enjoyable one. Many of are guests become regular repeat customers and recommend us to friends and relatives.

We are located 1.5 miles West of the A68 main road, midway between Castleside and Tow Law. Brown tourist signs which state 'Bee Cottage B&B 1.5 miles' mark the turning point from the A68. Look out for the big white farmhouse. We are 15 miles from Durham City and about 18 miles from Newcastle.
