Farncombe is a modern family home situated on the side of the hill overlooking the River Windrush Valley, in the hamlet of Clapton-on-the-hill 2.5 miles from the famous Bourton-on-the-water.

We will share our peace and tranquillity with you as long as you are prepared to spend a few days enjoying our hospitality and getting the most out of our wonderfully diverse area of outstanding natural beauty.

We let two double rooms with showers but a shared toilet or the twin ensuite. Your dining room and sitting room is very well stocked with tourist information, books and magazines with the addition of our own knowledge of the locality, so if you haven't had time to do your research on the area then we can help you with your plans.

Our Breakfast menu is varied and caters for all tastes including our own free-range eggs, home made bread and preserves and when the weather permits can be served on the terrace where you can soak in the views and the sounds of our wonderful situation.

The chickens will tell you when they have laid you an egg and our herdwick rams may ask for some attention and are certainly very photogenic.

Our charges are very reasonable; A double room per night is £48 and the twin is £50.

We don't accept less than a two night stay and three nights at public holidays.

We are only 2.5 miles from Bourton on the Water where you might like to take your evening meal. I have a file full of menu's for local restaurants and pubs which you can peruse whilst taking tea/coffee on the terrace.

We are approximately 22 miles from Oxford, 29 from Stratford on Avon ( so why not book the Shakespeare theatre) 18 miles from Cheltenham and 15 from Cirencester. Bath is only one hours drive away.

I have guests that come back year after year and still find something new and interesting to enjoy.
