Our 400-year-old Thatched Cottage creates an ideal setting for your get-away holiday. The aim is to make you feel at home in our luxurious and peaceful atmosphere. The tasteful and detailed decorations, as well as the wonderful food and attention to detail, will, we hope, exceed all your expectations.

The Thatched Cottage is owned and managed by the Matysik family, who personally ensure continuous improvements to the service we render to our guests. We have over 120 years of combined experience in international renowned hotels, which we will endeavour to share with you.

Martin Matysik runs the culinary team at the Thatched Cottage. He presents international renowned cuisine in the open-to-view kitchen, offering imaginative menus cooked to perfection. Unsurpassed in quality and presentation together with professional, friendly, and relaxed service. On our menu we use only the finest quality produce, including seasonal local game, wild fish, shellfish and New Forest mushrooms.

We also have an extensive collection of fine wines, ranging from classic Bordeaux's to the most scrumptious of New World wines, Sparkling wines, Champagnes and Dessert wines. We hope that you will come and enjoy a wonderful dinning experience.

Afternoon tea is another speciality of ours. We are famous for our Complete Cream Tea which is served on a traditional 3-tiered stand consisting of delicate finger sandwiches, scones, and a choice of scrumptious home made cakes. If all this is too much, we can also serve these items separately.

And if the weather gods are in your favour, you can enjoy it all in our beautiful teagarden.

We have five cosy en-suite double bed rooms all tastefully decorated. They each have their own character and feature open-hearth gas fireplaces, low oak beams, a four-poster bed or a room with steam shower. Amenities such as soft towels and bathrobes, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar, hair dryers, and colour televisions, set the standard for all our rooms.

Our Breakfast begins with freshly squeezed orange juice, tea or coffee, toast and baked pastries all accompanied with an amazing choice of six different mouth watering cooked breakfasts which are served form 8:30 until 11:00am!
