Granton House B&B
Granton House is a beautiful period home set in a stunning location. It was once lived in by an eminent Victorian watercolour artist, Joshua Cristall and it still has many of it's original features. We have a secluded SW facing garden with a wild life pond that nestles into the valley and looks onto a conservation orchard and Coppet Hill Nature Reserve beyond.
Our guests enjoy relaxing after a day out on the terrace in fine weather. It is situated between Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire and is close to the Forest of Dean and Welsh Borders. There are many interesting walks from the door leading to the river Wye. Hay on Wye and Cardiff are less than an hour away.
We have private parking and a secure lock- up for bikes and fishing tackle and facilities to dry clothes for walkers. It is an ideal location for a holiday or short break with plenty of local activities e.g. canoeing, fishing, horse riding, golf and many beautiful gardens to visit nearby.
There are numerous pubs and restaurants close by serving escellent food in either Ross or Monmouth as well as other local villages. There are two pubs in Goodrich as well as a village shop and post office and of course the famous Goodrich Castle run by English Heritage.
We offer superior en-suite accommodation in beautiful surroundings and serve delicious breakfasts in our beamed dining room, using local and homemade produce. There is a separate guest lounge to relax in by the fire on chilly winter evenings. The house can accommodate up to 7 people and is ideal for family get-togethers and celebrations.
Our guests are welcomed from 4pm onwards. The latest time of arrival should be no later than 10pm unless previously arranged.
We are sorry but we do not allow pets, are strictly a non-smoking house and do not accept card payments.
