Avery House B&B

Avery House B&B is a clean, comfortable 4 * B&B on the 308 bus route from Stansted Airport to the old market town of Bishop's Stortford. We are within walking distance of the town centre with its many bars, shops and restaurants. The rail station is a 15min walk and has regular trains to London and Cambridge. The journey time to both is approx 35mins.

In addition there are local coach companies which arrange day trips to a wide choice of events and destinations around the area. We are therefore an ideal base for visiting local attractions and for day trips to both London and Cambridge.

We are also convenient for visitors to Duxford Aircraft Museum, Stansted Mountfitchet Norman Castle, Rhodes Museum and Art Complex, Audley End House and Gardens, The Henry Moore Foundation and much more.

Many guests also find Avery House a convenient place to stay when visiting Hockerell International School and Bishop's Stortford College.

Avery House offers 3 lovely guest rooms which are large, bright, well furnished and have either ensuite or private showers and bathrooms.

Full cooked breakfast is included in the room price as is a tea/coffee tray, colour TV, hairdryer and a range of toiletries.

For guests who arrive by car there is ample overnight parking. (Sorry, we do not have enough space for airport parking)

Avery House has been established since 1999 and has been consistently awarded 4 stars by Visit Britain Quality in Tourism.
