Drink in the moods of the Pennines. We offer warm friendly hospitality with rooms overlooking the fields and hills of Saddleworth. Rooms are all en-suite, ground level with hospitality trays, colour TVs central heating, etc.

The lounge in winter has a roaring Log burning fire, come and toast your own bread the old fashioned way at breakfast. There is ample secure private parking. Ideally placed 10 minutes from motorway network and 20 minutes from Manchester with its shops and theatres, and for the serious shopaholics the Trafford Centre, you really can spend a full day there, it even has cinemas for the husbands to retreat to.

There is something to satisfy everyone, horse riding, fishing, golf are all close by. The Huddersfield Narrow Canal and Stanedge Tunnel the longest and highest canal tunnel in Britain is on the doorstep and the canal towpaths provide excellent walks, or for the more adventurous the Pennine Way or Oldham Way is clearly marked.

Or just relax with a glass of wine and an excellent meal at one of the local restaurants or village pubs, there are plenty to choose from and many provide seating outside where you can sit and watch the world go by.

There is even a local Garden Centre with a fantastic cafe serving home made cakes and prize winning coffee, forget watching the waistline, treat yourself, indulge.

Holmfirth (Last of the Summer Wine Country) is just 15 minutes drive away, have a cup of tea with Nora Batty, you may even see them filming. We are open all year round and also offer accommodation for riders and horses doing the Pennine Bridleway.
