All bedrooms and en-suites have recently been refurbished to a very high standard offering comfortable beds, tea/coffee making facilities, hair driers, alarm clock, central heating and digital colour TV.

A range of leaflets and brochures covering local attractions are available to enable the visitor to plan their day. There are 2 public houses offering quality food and fine ales within a few minutes walk for those who prefer not to drive and also a number of good restaurants within easy driving distance.

The market town of Easingwold is within 3 miles and offers a good range of local shops and public houses. Each Friday there is a local market where the visitor can buy fresh fruit, vegetables, cheeses and other goods. A few hours well spent and afterwards you can take a well deserves break with tea or coffee in one of the tearooms.

For those with an historic leaning The Old Farmhouse is ideally situated for Fountains Abbey, Reivaulx Abbey, Castle Howard, Helmsley Castle, Pickering and the coastal resorts of Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington.

Visit Goathland, the home of ITV's 'Heartbeat' fictional town of Aidensfield and for the nostalgic and steam buffs travel the scenic route along The North York Moors Railway line.
