Stockwell House is situated in a quiet corner of Cropwell Bishop behind the 11th century Norman Church, bell ringing practice Monday evenings. We are only a 20-minute drive from Nottingham city centre so are suitably placed for business or leisure in town.
Stockwell House is 5 minutes from the market town of Bingham and the same distance to Radcliffe on Trent, We are close to The British Geological Survey at Keyworth and the Historic town of Newark, with its regular Antiques Fairs.

Nottingham, home of our world famous hero Robin Hood has many attractions for the traveller, The Theatre Royal and Royal Centre, Nottingham Arena, venue for ice skating and live shows, with big name Stars, The National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham Forest and Notts County football ground. Trent Bridge Cricket ground. Nottingham Castle and Brewhouse yard Museum, the Caves under the City. The Galleries of Justice, Ye Olde trip to Jerusalem dating back to 1189 and the home of Games workshop for kids of all ages.

Away from the city and within just a few miles from Stockwell House is the beautiful Vale of Belvoir with the enchanting Belvoir Castle. Also the Sky Diving School and wild flower farm at Langar is only 5 minutes away.

Sockwell House is Modern and comfortable, the bedrooms are light and simply furnished, we have one twin room en-suite, one double bedded room and one twin room which share a lovely white bathroom with large walk in power shower and a full size bath.

Our full English breakfast includes free-range eggs from our own chickens homemade marmalade, fruit, cereal and lots of toast.

Our Guests are more than welcome to sit in the garden under the gazebo if the weather is fine, where they can enjoy a welcoming cup of tea and biscuits on their arrival.
