The Old Vicarage
This charming Old Vicarage is a quiet haven of peace in this busy life. The bedrooms are comfortable and well furnished and look out onto the gardens and paddock. We have a sitting room for our guests to use which offers a retreat to relax in before going out in the evening. There are several pubs near by which offer good evening meals.
We offer a range of choices for breakfast from full English with local sausages bacon and eggs to kippers or a vegetarian choice. Paula makes her own jams and marmalade to go with the toasted homemade bread.
The charming town of Southwold is ten minutes drive away and offers a range of activities depending on the time of year. It has several resturants and pubs for evening meals or lunches.
The historic village of Dunwich is nearby and has a facinating museum showing how the village looked before it was washed away over the ages. Many people do not realise that at one time it was the second largest port in England after London. seeing it now it is hard to believe.
Halesworth is also nearby and has a range of entertainments at 'The Cut'. A bit further afield, about half an hour, is Snape Maltings where many and varied concerts are performed. It is also well know for its connection with Benjamin Brittain and Peter Piers. Aldeburgh is a few miles further and again is a charming seaside town with several excellent restaurants.
Further south is Sutton Hoo which now has a wonderful visitors centre to enable you to explore part of this country's history.
We regret that we cannot accept your pets as some people do not like them. This upsets our dogs when we have to keep them in the kitchen.
We charge £70 a night for 2 people sharing a double or the twin room for 2 or more nights.
