You'll start to relax and unwind the moment that you arrive at The Bush House Bed and Breakfast, Plaistow, Nr Petworth, West Sussex.

A warm welcome awaits at our home in the beautiful Sussex village of Plaistow, along with a cup of tea, some homemade cake and an opportunity to enjoy the peace of the country and the charm of our village. Plaistow, in the northwest corner of West Sussex on the Surrey county border, is a quintessential English village. There is a Village Green, a pond, a pub and a Church all in the centre of the village.

We offer our guests independence & privacy within a self-contained first floor studio, situated right next to the main house. Decorated in a contemporary country style, the studio is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

A large and luxurious double room with a very comfortable 6 foot wide bed, made up with soft white bedlinen. The bed can be split into twins. This is a lovely light room, with windows facing East and South, enjoying the morning sunshine,... but should you wish for a lie-in or an afternoon siesta, just pull down the blackout blinds.

Tea and coffee making facilities are provided, along with a fridge, combination grill microwave oven, wine glasses, corkscrew. And if you feel a bit peckish after your day out, help yourself to our homemade cakes or biscuits.

The spacious shower room is supplied with plenty of large fluffy towels, bathrobes and quality toiletries.

Also in the room is a LCD TV/DVD with freeview, a digital radio clock alarm and a hairdryer. We have a large range of DVDs to choose from, and there are magazines to browse through.

And if you really can't bear to leave your laptop at home we do have wireless internet access available free to guests.

A lovely and warm room in the winter, with controllable heating and supplied with a woolly throw and hot water bottle for extra comfort.

With large comfortable beds, you can lie in and enjoy the peace before getting up to take your time over a leisurely West Sussex cooked breakfast, made with the finest of local ingredients. The eggs come courtesy of our free range chickens, the sausage and home cure bacon from one of our local farms, and the preserves are all homemade. For a lighter or vegetarian option try our homemade muffins and fruit smoothies.

Stroll around the acre of garden, take shade in our small orchard, explore the wild flower meadow or sit and relax on the terrace... you may see a hot air balloon drift past on a summer's evening, or a badger collecting plum windfalls on an August evening.

Take a wander along the local public footpaths, and you could see dairy cows, llama, rhea, highland cattle, pigs or sheep in the fields surrounding our house.

This is wonderful walking and cycling country. There are several beautiful walks from the house and we have guidebooks and maps that you're welcome to borrow.

Come and discover why this part of West Sussex has been described as one of the most beautiful regions in Britain, and only one hours drive of London;- though be careful, like us, you may end up not being able to leave!
