OUR STORY

Anno 1995. Just married and we dream of our own house... a house to renovate in the centre of Mechelen. We end up at the Jef Denynplein in the historical heart of the c ity. Two houses.... an ambitious project. We go for it. After 5 years of hard work, with a lot of helping hands, the house is transformed into our home... a place we'll never leave, a place to share.

Anno 1998. a Dutch pilgrim is on his way to Compostella. We gladly offered him lodging.

Anno 1999 November... festive inauguration. Two artists expose during 6 weeks their artworks in our home.

In the following years we host family, neighbours and friends in our house to theatre, bicycle excursions, festive weekends. Slowly, the idea of having our own bed & breakfast started to ripen … In the shadow of the cathedral, we could offer a warm welcome. Perhaps the pilgrim of 1998 inspired us ?

Anno 2006. Luna Luna starts. We hope to welcome you in the shadow of the cathedral.

Anno 2007. In front of the bed and breakfast, an old city canal is reopened, making lunaluna one of the most pittoresque places to stay in the entire city !

We offer a unique spacious suite along the city canal. Situated in the historical heart of the city of Mechelen, at 200 meters of Saint Rumbold's Cathedral. Located at the city canal, this is one of the most exciting places in the city ! Mechelen is the ideal startpoint, to visit the Flemish Art cities: Antwerp, Ghent and Leuven (also Brussels) are reachable in a less than 30 minutes drive from Mechelen.
