Guest House Resen Lodge

Resen is a village just 17 kilometres (15 minutes) from the ancient capital of Bulgaria Veliko Tarnovo, its 1 hour drive to Romania 3 hours to Sofia, Varna and Bourgas and only 45 minutes to the ski slopes at Gabravo.

Resen village has a number of shops, post office, hairdresser and a few village bars.
Veliko Tarnovo has all you would expect in a city of its size, great shopping restaurants and bars, river or mountain walks, picnic areas with incredible views and a castle that rivals the best in Scotland.

Jill and myself moved to Bulgaria with our two girls Kelly (4) and Holly (3) in April 2005 with the idea of setting up a Guesthouse, after a year of taking it slow, finding our way around and working on the guesthouse we are now open for business, we love Bulgaria, Resen our village and the people around us and look forward to sharing our experience with you our guests.

Getting here from Veliko Tarnovo by road is easy, travel out of vt going north on the Ruse road, after seven kilometres turn left in the village of Samovodene, a further seven kilometres is the village of Resen, Resen Lodge is on the left as you enter the village.
