In the 'Marais Poitevin ' (the Green Venice), near Velluire, Massigny is a secret valley beside the River Vendee where Jean-Claude and Marie-Françoise renovated an old barn in a stylish mix of old and new to give you a warm welcome.

A double room (one with a king size bed) and a family room both with shower and WC are very comfortable.

Family bedroom : 3 possibilities :
- a double room with private bathroom & a twin bedroom (4 people)
- a double room & a single bedroom (3 people)
- a double room & a single room & a twin bedroom (5 people)

Use the sunny guest sitting room with a copper tub for plants and a billiard table for your pleasure. (Games at your disposal)
A small kitchen with micro-wave, deep freezer, etc..)
Babies are welcome: high chair, proper cot. Baby sitter possible if asked the previous day.

In a steep sloping garden where hoopoes nest and squirrels play, use the pool (saline sterilization system), picnic in a shady corner, barbecue (charcoal at your disposal) or walk in the vegetable garden (pick up strawberries, tomatoes or any fruit you can find) near bamboos.

You'll find many things to do all around and many historical castles, abbeys to visit: Fontenay-le-Comte a 'renaissance' town, Vouvant a medieval village with many artists, Mervent Forest and Lake, Maillezais and Nieul sur l'Autise (where Alienor d'Aquitaine is born) with the very well known abbeys, the Atlantic coast with La Rochelle, Ile de Ré.
