The village of Keraudy is well placed to explore the different aspects of the Cotes d'Armor and in particular the dramatic coastline, with its broad sandy beaches, dramatic rock formations and superb scenery.
There are also various opportunities locally for watersports enthusiasts to indulge in activities such as sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, fishing, swimming etc.
Many of the towns in our area have outdoor markets on a regular basis - some of the largest in Brittany being nearby in Lannion (Thursdays) or Morlaix (Saturdays) or Plestin les Greves (Sundays). Any of these is an ideal opportunity to sample the local produce, such as the different styles of bread, local cheeses, meats etc. Or perhaps you may choose to visit one of the local cafes for a coffee and croissant, whilst taking in the atmosphere.
For shopping, Lannion offers a wide and interesting range of individual shops and boutiques, mostly centred within an easy stroll of the pedestrianised town centre, with its historical timber framed buildings.
There are regular outdoor musical and cultural events in Lannion and the surrounding areas during the summer months.
For lovers of the countryside, there is a wide selection of wooded walks to enjoy throughout the area, in addition to several chateaux and historical buildings all within easy reach. Or why not try exploring some caves on the coast, or sample a few locally made traditional Breton biscuits, or perhaps a glass or two of the Breton cider.
In the nearby village of Ploumilliau, or slightly further afield in Lannion, there is a wide choice of restaurants and creperies offering a vast selection of dishes, both traditional and international. From the 'Plat du Jour'. or 'Speciality of the day', at about 11 euros per person including wine, right up to a sumptuous five course restaurant meal with a selection of wines and cheese - you'll be spoilt for choice.
Within a forty minute drive there are three golf courses - two 18 hole and one 9 hole, the nearest one being just twenty minutes away. These courses offer plenty of choice for guests staying with us for a long weekend, including the dramatic course situated near the coast at Pleumer Bodou. For guests staying a little longer, slightly further afield - but still within an hour's drive - there are a further six course within the Cotes d'Armor, each with its own varied terrain and many of them being sited along the coastline in elevated locations, offering dramatic backdrops as you progress around the course. Further details such as green fees etc can be provided upon request.
