About Boval Cottage

The name Boval is derived from your hosts names Bob and Val who have lived here since November 2006. The cottage is mainly built of Breton stone but has been sympathetically extended and renovated in keeping with its original character. The cottage is between 150-200 years old but all original records were lost during WWII, the first registered owner after the war was in 1949 and has had very few owners since, the previous owners were English who used it as a holiday home for 15 years.

The cottage boasts the luxury of modern living combined with many original features such as Oak beams and Stone that have been preserved, the living room centre piece boasts a large Inglenook fire place.

Large gardens are a feature of the property along with the surrounding countryside, which is alive with wildlife which includes Red Squirrels, Deer, Rabbits and a variety of Birds from the tiny Wren to the mighty Bird of Prey of which there are several varieties.

English, French and Italian spoken.

What Jugon les Lacs offers
Spoil yourself with a night out at one of the three restaurants in Jugon.
In La Place de Martray of Jugon les Lacs are Bars and Restaurants to suit all ages, also 2 Bakers, 1 Butcher, a mini Supermarket and a Bar/Tabac.
In Dolo there is a Crepere, the best in the area.

For the Night Owls, visit La Bar Baroque which is located just outside La Place, live music most weekends by the owner Danny or by guest artists or bring your own instrument along for an impromptu gig, Pool table, Darts, Table Football and Wii open till 01:00. The Bars and Restaurants all have outside seating areas during the tourist season.

During July and August the Place de Martry on Friday evenings, is a hive of activity with Music, Traditional Breton Dancing, food available.
