Charm, space and tranquility awaits you at our Grande Maison with garden and orchard amidst the vineyards. On the edge of a typical French hamlet and a 5min walk from the village of Tigne with its own chateau owned by the French actor Gerard Depardieu, with post office, bar and boulangerie.

Saunter through the hamlet or stay on the lane, past a pony trotting school circuit, or follow the footpath across open fields to reach the riverside walk along the river Layon. Take a left turn to visit Auberge sur Layon, its grapevine adorned walls of houses and flower gardens next to a middle ages chateau. Go further afield on a cycle and see other lovely villages in the vicinity (there are some cycles at the house for guests use).

By car visit Doue la Fontaine (10min) with its Rosarie and world famous Zoo or carry on to beautiful Saumur with its fairytale château, National riding school and tank museum, its restaurants, café's and boutique's. Saumur and its region is not just one of the most major destinations for holiday makers in France, it is a key part of the Loire Valley, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site .. Within striking distance of this area is a multitude of charming and fascinating places to visit, including the Atlantic coast.


At present we are offering 2 comfortable double rooms with continental breakfast.
Relax in the orchard or enjoy a wine on the terrace in the evening.

Try a walk around Tigne where many houses are built on old troglodyte caves and call in the chateau and try the wine.
