B&B la Gioia

Villa la Gioia is a small-scaled B&B with three rooms; two double rooms and one family room.

Each room has got a private entrance, a terrace and of course a private bathroom.
All our rooms have got fans to keep you cool during hot days and refrigerators to keep your drinks cool.

In the morning a delicious European breakfast will be served in your room, or on the terrace.

You'll find us amidst the olive orchards of Sant'Isidoro, a little village on the Ionic Sea with beautiful beaches in 'the heel' of Italy, bounded by Porto Cesareo, a lively fishermen village.

Our B&B is situated perfectly to discover the Salento from.
You'll discover a magnificent coastline, in many places still unspoilt, changing from mile to mile; you'll find little picturesque bays, rocky beaches marvellously modelled by the sea, high cliffs, pearl white sandy beaches and water that shows all the shades of the colour blue.

But also discover the surrounding area: the Salento.

Visit Lecce (capitol of the Salento), also know as the Florence of the South.
Lecce is a rich and elegant city with a beautiful Baroque historic centre. Admire the Roman Amphitheatre, probably dating back to the first century, Piazza Sant'Oronzo a lovely square with many terraces, be overwhelmed by the sight of the church of Santa Croce, the Palace and the Piazza Duomo. Walk along the ancient city ports, through the monumental streets and go back in time....

Go to Gallipoli, a by origin Greek town (Kalè Polis which means the beautiful town). The gorgeous old part of Gallipoli, situated on an island, characterized by it's narrow winding alleys is surrounded by an ancient town wall, but in some places leaves space to an intimate beach.

Admire Otranto, the absolute pearl of the Salento, famous for her Cathedral with it's remarkable, and bizarre mosaic floor dating back to the 12th century.
The white village of Otranto, with charming little streets full of little shops, stands out brilliantly against the sea, the sea that's incredibly clear here and that shows all the shades of the colour blue. Discover the sea, the 'Borgo', the castle and the turbulent history of Otranto.

When your done sit down for an delicious meal in one of the many local trattoria's and .. enjoy!!!
