Corgo do Pardieiro

In the beautiful countryside of the SW Alentejo you stay in a separate, independent part of our 'Monte' (farm house) that we have converted into a comfortable apartment.

This fully equipped two-persons apartment consists of
* A living room with wood burning stove,
* An open kitchen,
* An elevated sleeping area
* A bathroom with shower and toilet.

The apartment has its own terrace with a magnificent view of the Alentejan hills.
We bake our own bread and also serve lunch and a delicious (vegetarian) dinner on request.

Children can play safely in the area and there is a lot to be discovered on the 8,5 ha estate. There is also a children's playground for digging, climbing and playing ball.
We are located near the characteristic 'white' village of Amoreiras Gare and the city of Odemira. Amoreiras Gare is small but some interesting facilities are available, such as several small restaurants where you can enjoy a simple meal or relax with a glass of wine among the locals.

Also the Atlantic coast is nearby (40 km) with many beautiful sandy beaches such as Milfontes and Zambujeira. This coast is famous for the excellent surfing conditions.

If you like a swim in one of the big artificial lakes you will enjoy for instance the clear water of Santa Clara lake (20 km).

This is also the ideal environment for hikers and nature lovers and for people looking for space, quietness, nature. Enjoy the sun or the shadow of an olive tree, a beautiful view or a good book, or just relax and experience nature. At night listen to the scream of a tawny owl or wonder about the million stars that are visible here. On the 8,5 hectare natural area of the estate with old cork oaks and olive trees we have planted a variety of additional young trees, brushes and flowers.

All year round you can enjoy this beautiful place. In spring and autumn the climate is very enjoyable and in spring nature is at its best with lots of flowers!

You can also reach us by public transport (train) : Amoreiras Gare is on the railway from Lisbon to Faro. We can pick you up at the railway station.
