Accommodation
We have one en-suite room and one with an adjoining bathroom shared with the owner, each room has large double beds, the room with adjoining facilities also has a sitting room with a sofa bed, enabling accommodation of up to four persons in that suite, each room is traditionally furnished. They are naturally cool in summer and warm in winter. Each room has its own keys and is extremely secure. There is a parking area in front of the house.

Eating
Although a full breakfast is provided and other meals available, plus cheap cafes and restaurants in the Village, Guests are very welcome to cook for themselves, with plenty of shops within 10 mins walk to provide the ingredients and all kitchen facilities available, including cookery books, help and advice from Gordon (if required), not forgetting the dishwasher so no washing up afterwards!!

Shops in the Village
There are three Supermarkets in the Village, each supplying everything you may need, there are two bakeries (Panaderas), 1 fresh fish shop only open Wednesday (market day), 1 newsagent with a small selection of English papers, 1 tobacconist, 1 multiprecios (hardware and gifts), 1 Ferreteria (Hardware) store and 1 butcher, (although each supermarket has its own butchery department). These are all within easy walking distance and all charge Spanish prices!. They do not speak English but as everything is on display there is no problem Shopping

The Village
Tranquil, rustic and traditional, the village of Galera in Andalucia is a welcoming haven for a resting holiday. Recently high profiled as featured on Channel 5, the Ideal Home Exhibition and in the Sunday Times July 4th 2004, Galera and the surrounding area have become popular with British holiday makers and home seekers alike.

Set in the foothills of the Sierra Cazorla and the Sierra Baza, the ancient village has two distinct areas, the hill clad moorish cave and modern Christian districts.

The 'Cueva Leon' set in the Barrio Santissimo cave area, has welcoming and breathtaking views of the Sierra Cazorla on the door step. All round the views are stunning, from the arid valleys to the verdant mountains. The cooling ambient temperature of the cave is a welcome break from the midday sun of Andalucia, giving the opportunity to relax and enjoy the cave life and perhaps take afternoon tea.
