Las Tortugas B&B

Las Tortugas is a haven of tranquillity - the ideal location for chilling out away from the hustle and bustle of the coast but close enough to go and join in if you feel like it.

Relax around the super Pebbletec pool, in the sun or in the shade of the 'terrace lounge', browse through one of the many paperbacks from the well stocked shelves in the guest lounge. Stay in for a convivial dinner instead of worrying about who is going to do the driving. Jane and Terry love entertaining and just want you to feel at home and do as you wish: 'Mi casa es tu casa' (but we do the cleaning, cooking and washing and even the ironing if required!).

Las Tortugas offers three spacious guest rooms, two with en-suite shower rooms and one with a large private bathroom next door. All are cooled by ceiling fans and warmed when necessary by electric heaters.

The guest lounge has books, satellite TV, fridge, honesty bar, tea and coffee making facilities, DVD and CD player.

The area is a haven for bird-watching and there are many spectacular walks around the mountains.
Mojácar beach runs for 14 kilometres and has several coveted Blue Flags. The popular Vera Playa also has an Aqua Park and a Naturist Beach.
Inland you can reach the Painted Desert and Mini Hollywood in an hour or so, or the Alhambra in Granada in two hours.

If you are feeling energetic, locally you can try Go Karting, scuba diving, windsurfing, horse riding, bowls or golf at one of the 4 courses close by.
And of course there is no day of the week where you can't find a market in one of the local towns.

Almería airport is under an hour, Murcia just over an hour and Alicante 2 hours away. A car is essential as there is no local transport.

Rates: from €55 to €65 for a double or twin including breakfast (English if you wish), depending on season. Dinner: 3 courses including aperitif, nibbles, wine and coffee: €23. Discounts for stays of one week or more.

Las Tortugas is an adult-only retreat except if all rooms are booked by a party with children.
We do welcome guests' dogs by prior arrangement as we have a dog and two cats.
