Schaffhausen is a small town in the north of Switzerland, close to the border with Germany. It is a nice area for nature lovers but still close to cities like Zurich. Tourist attractions are all within walking distance, we are very close to the River Rhine (the cycling path from Constance to Basel passes just outside of our building) and the Rhinefalls, and also the very special Munot fortress is just a short stroll away. 40min. by train to the city centre of Zurich, 30min. by train to Zurich airport. 5min. walk to the railway station.

Schaffhausen is a good location to explore the north of Switzerland. Wide range of shops, restaurants for all tastes, trendy bars, theatre and casino in the neighbourhood. Enjoy the very special atmosphere in our comfortable 250year old renovated town house.

The bathrooms are new and modern. There is a lovely terrace and a big balcony. TV, DVD, WLAN, tea and coffee making facility for our guests. Ideal location for people travelling with our without a car. Explore the area by bicycle or on foot, swim in the river Rhine or lake Constance, make a boat trip on this beautiful part of the river Rhine.

Visit the museums and art galleries. Enjoy trips to cities like Zurich, Winterthur, Basel, St. Gallen and Constance or go mountain walking. Whether travelling alone or with your spouse or family, on a business trip or on holiday, everybody is welcome! Please note that our house is not equipped with an elevator. Smoking is allowed on the balcony or terrace only.
