Greenbrae Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast
Greenbrae is a 19th Century Farmhouse that has been extended and modernised to provide excellent ground floor accommodation. People who use wheelchairs can access all visitors' rooms, and the garden.
For the past two years we have received a Highly Commended Certificate in the Visitor Experience category of the tourist board Northern Lights Awards. This award is judged on the basis of information provided by visitors to the tourist board. This year we were the first business in Scotland to qualify in the Ancestral Tourist Welcome scheme.
Our spacious and comfortable double/twin bedrooms are en-suite with a bath and a shower. Each room has tea and coffee making facilities. Fruit and herbal teas and decaffeinated coffee are available. Each room has a hairdryer, shoe cleaner tissues and other bits and pieces you may find useful. A television and video or DVD player can be provided.
All the bedrooms have access to the courtyard garden through patio doors. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the rest of our half an acre of garden.
Visitors have the use of the sunroom which has a satellite television and a DVD player as well as views over the front garden with its bird feeding station, and beyond to the rolling farmland.
Our library is at your disposal that contains a wide selection of books, maps local information and a reference section to help you identify the wildlife you will encounter.
It is a place to enjoy a quiet read, write letters or play chess. However you are warned that you may be distracted by the view through the patio door to the courtyard garden and it's bird-feeding station.
Greenbrae welcomes cyclists and walkers as we have laundry, drying and ironing facilities available. We also have lockable storage for bikes.
There is ample off road parking for all of our guests.
