The Scottish Artist Studio accommodation in Dundee offers guests either bed and breakfast or self-catering with full use of the kitchen and laundry facilities.
The west end location is perfect for incoming visitors to Dundee University, Ninewells hospital, the Dundee Technology park, or the Scottish Crop Institute (SCRI) at Invergowrie and it is only a mile from Dundee Airport.
A full Scottish breakfast or continental breakfast is served in the Artist Studio where Dundee artist John Stoa creates his paintings and runs art classes and art holiday workshops. This room faces south with panoramic views over the river Tay and into the Kingdom of Fife towards the Lomond Hills.
There are four rooms available for bed and breakfast or as self-catering suitable for holiday guests, professionals on business or mature students attending John's art holiday workshops.
All rooms are cosy and comfortable with central heating, double glazing, television, ample storage space and all rooms have a desk for business professionals. Wifi internet access is now fitted.
The double en-suite room has fantastic views south across the River Tay to Fife. The others overlook the fruit garden and floral borders.
Breakfast is between 8am and 9am or earlier by request and includes a choice of cereals, porridge, juices, stewed or fresh fruits in season, sausage bacon and egg and lots of toast with homemade jams and marmalade.
Fresh brewed coffee and tea at breakfast, and a tray in your room with tea and coffee and Anna's homemade shortbread on arrival. John and Anna have extensive knowledge of the local area and are happy to advise guests on all the local attractions such as the Dundee Contemporary Arts, the excellent Dundee Repetory Theatre, the ship the Discovery which took Captain Scott to the Antarctic, nearby Glamis Castle, the golf courses at St Andrews, Monifeth and Carnoustie.
