Our excellent location makes the Airlie an ideal base for business travellers or visitors wishing to explore the wonderful city of Edinburgh and to start off your day we include a full cooked breakfast in the price and it is served between 8am an 9am daily. Check in is from 11.30 am until 8pm and check out on your last day with us is 10am. On arrival you will receive a set of keys allowing you access to the Guest House and your room at any time.

We have a variety of bedrooms, which include single, twin/double/small family en-suite, standard double and large family en-suite. Most of the rooms have their own en-suite shower and toilet and all rooms have their own wash basin, colour television, tea / coffee making facilities/adjustable central heating and secondary galzing. We also have a payphone for Guests use. Our most recent addition to the services we provide is a Wireless hotspot so you can use your laptops while you are staying with us.

A number of buses go past the Guest House and those buses will take you to most parts of Edinburgh. The buses which will take you to an from Princes Street are a number 3, 29, 31, 37 and 37a. We are only one mile from the High Street where the Castle and Holyrood Palace are located, you will also find St. Giles Cathederal and several small museums on this street. Just a short walk from the High Street is Princes Street where you can take bus tours of Edinburgh, visit the Scott Monument, enjoy a walk through the Gardens or do a bit of shopping.

A five minute walk from the Guest House will take you to the Royal Commonwealth Pool and Leisure centre where there is an Olympic size swimming pool, children's pool, diving pool and keep fit facilities. If you continue past the Pool you will enter into the Royal Park and see in front of you Arthur's Seat which you can climb up and enjoy the magnificent views of Edinburgh you get from there. Alternatively you could drive up to the top (my preference!!) and enjoy the views that way.

Close to the Guest House there are also a variety of eating establishments ranging from a wonderful Indian restaurant to Chinese, Thai, Italian, bistro food, pub grub and fish and chips.
