Birchlea Bed and Breakfast is set in a quiet private residential area a 10 minute walk from the compact and bustling town centre of St. Andrews, making this the ideal choice for all visitors whether they be tourists, Golfers, theatre goers, parents of students or here on business.

With ample private parking you can safely leave your car and explore the unique and historic town centre where you will find a wealth of individual shops, plenty of cafes and bars, excellent restaurants side by side with the medieval buildings of University, Castle and Cathedral.

A 15 minute walk from the house will take the Golfers among you to the world famous Old Course which seems to be every Golfers dream to play but with another 5 Courses on the doorstep and a host in the surrounding area why stop there!

Bedrooms
Our comfortable en-suite bedrooms are on the ground floor and have all the features a discerning Guest has come to expect from a 4 Star Visit Scotland graded Bed and Breakfast.

The Double room with its spacious 5ft bed has views over the front garden with the park beyond. At the rear of the house the Twin bedded room looks onto our sheltered private garden which guests are free to use. Our aim at Birchlea is to provide Guests with that home from home feeling while visiting St. Andrews.

Dining room
Ease yourself gently into the day and enjoy a leisurely start in our traditional styled dining room, which overlooks the park. Many years ago people used to bring their horses to graze here – hence the name Horseleys Park.

Breakfast using fresh local produce whenever possible is normally served between 8.30 - 9.30am but earlier Breakfasts are not a problem. Choose from traditional, continental or something a bit different the choice is up to you. Special diets are catered for.
