Moyness House award winning B & B in centre of Inverness
Restoring Moyness House to its full Victorian charm has been a labour of love for the Jones family. The house retains many beautiful period features, and has been enhanced by stylish decor and furnishings, and the many fine pictures that now adorn its walls.
In addition to an elegant dining room, and the inviting sitting room overlooking the front garden, Moyness House offers 6 attractive en suite guest rooms, with double, family and twin rooms all available. All rooms are well equipped with TV, clock radio/CD player, hospitality tray, robes, luxury bath towels, mineral water, and Botanics toiletries.
For the comfort of all guests, Moyness House is no-smoking throughout.
The delicious breakfasts feature a good choice of locally sourced Scottish specialities, as well as a wide range of continental and vegetarian options.
The sitting room is well equipped with guide books, travel information, games and literature (including many Scottish interest books), and is the ideal place to relax with a single malt before setting off for a meal in one of Inverness's excellent restaurants. Jenny and Richard will be happy to advise on restaurants and to make table reservations.
Moyness House is situated in a quiet residential street and is less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of Inverness. There is ample parking within the grounds.
A secluded walled garden, filled with mature trees, is available for guests' use, and is a peaceful retreat after a busy day exploring the Highlands.
Jenny and Richard will be delighted to give any assistance they can to help their guests make the most of their time in the vibrant Higland capital and its beautiful surrounding countryside. Culloden Battlefield, Loch Ness, the Caledonian canal, dolphin and wild-life trips, the Cairngorm mountains and National Park, whisky distilleries, Clava Cairns, Fort George, ancient castles, Glen Affric, championship golf courses, picturesque villages, the Isle of Skye and the rugged west coast are all within easy distance of Inverness. During the summer months longer day trips from Inverness can be made to the north coast and to Orkney.
Moyness House is open all year round, and offers discounts for stays of 3 nights or longer. Jenny and Richard will be pleased to advise on availability and rates, and will do their utmost to ensure your stay at Moyness House is a happy and comfortable one.
