Shieldaig is a small family-run bed & breakfast, and is located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.
Whether you're skiing, following the popular Whisky Trail, visiting Scotland's many historic landmarks or just enjoying the beauty that the Highlands has to offer, then Shieldaig is the perfect place to base your stay!
Conveniently located just 7 miles north of the City of Inverness, and with easy access to the main A9 and A835 trunk roads, Shieldaig B&B is an ideal base for touring the Highlands and Islands.
Accommodation
Shieldaig is a modern detached bungalow set in ¼ acre of private land with private parking. Shieldaig is centrally heated and double glazed throughout.
Guest accommodation comprises of two rooms:
* Double, with en-suite facilities
* Twin/double, with private facilities
Each room has a colour TV, a radio, tea/coffee facilities and a hairdryer.
Additionally, guests share their own private lounge and dining area where they can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and home baking.
Please note that Shieldaig B&B is a non-smoking establishment.
Shieldaig is registered with the Scottish Tourist Board, which conducts an annual inspection of the quality of service we provide for our guests. We initially achieved the STB 3-Star rating.
In October 2003 we undertook major improvement to the main building, and we now offer 1 double bedroom with en-suite and 1 twin/double with luxury private bathroom. Our guests have sole use of the large lounge/dining room with access to television, videos and a selection of books.
In April 2004 we had our annual inspection by the Scottish Tourist Board, and we are delighted to announce that, for all our hard work and efforts, we have now achieved the STB 4-Star rating.
We hope after reading this it will give you some insight as to how we now having a thriving little family-run business in the Highlands of Scotland.
