There is a strong Burns culture in the area and visiting Alloway is a pleasant way to while away an afternoon.
For the golfers amongst you this area will be a delight and Stewart would be happy to offer you advice from his considerable knowledge of Scottish courses.
Walkers have the choice of coastal and hill walks each with their own special unsurpassed scenery.
Fishing is popular with both sea and freshwater venues close by.
The historic Castles at Hunterston and Portencross are only a short country walk away and a number of large country homes and their estates are now accessible such as Culzean and Kelburn.
For those of you with Welsh connections, or a love of the arts, then Mount Stewart on Bute is an absolute must to visit.
A cycle path passes close to the house, which leads to sandy beaches and the sea bird sanctuary at Hunterston Bay (We have cycles and binoculars available if required)
We are close to the ferry terminals for Arran, Bute and Cumbrae and only a 30 minute drive from the airports at Prestwick and Glasgow.
