Close to Perth at the heart of Scotland, which is the gateway to the Highlands, Over Kinfauns is only one hour from Edinburgh and Glasgow. Both cities have international airports providing either car hire, train or bus transport directly to Perth. The famous Gleneagles Hotel and Golf Course is just 40 minutes drive away and there are many historic local attractions all within easy reach.

Heading north from Perth on the A9 to Inverness the drive is one of the most scenic in Scotland and there are numerous tourist places worth visiting on the way. Whether it's castles, whisky distilleries or the Loch Ness monster you are in search of you will always find the warmth and down to earth character of the Scottish people.

Perth itself is a charming small city which offers numerous amenities including quaint cafes, pubs and restaurants for fine dining. The accommodation at Over Kinfauns is first class and every room offers breathtaking views over the River Tay, Kingdom of Fife and Perthshire. All rooms are large, tastefully decorated with large en suite bathrooms with both bath and shower. There is a comfortable guest lounge and large dining room offering the most stunning views to be enjoyed at breakfast time. Dinner is also available upon request.

Traditional and fresh home cooking is always prepared and special dietary requirements can be catered for. A gun safe and drying room is available, and for those interested in pre booking shooting or fishing days the proprietors, Fiona and Roland Holmes, are happy to assist with arrangements.

Surrounded by 60 acres of private land there is a livery on site with outdoor riding school and horse/pony riding lessons and hacks are available. Horse owners can stable their own horse in one of our spacious Victorian loose boxes and dog owners may house their pets outside in kennels provided.

Walking, cycling and quad biking are but a few activities to be enjoyed at Over Kinfauns and there are endless paths leading to historic sites.

Shooting/fishing/equestrian parties are most welcome.
