Deep Green forests and sage meadows open to views of the Continental Divide at The Outpost Bed & Breakfast and Country Inn. The simple luxuries and total tranquility of this glorious sanctuary have soothed many a soul.

Each of our seven guest rooms are lovely with private baths, cozy/robes, triple sheeted beds, comfortable antiques, quilts, and TV/VCR's. Our large video library, wood burning stove, excellent candlelight breakfasts, atrium hot tub spa, complimentary snack center, winter wine & cheese, microwave, and guest refrigerator offer visitors a true home away from home.

In the Summer the Outpost bursts with fabulous wildflowers and gardens. Guests put our horseshoes, volleyball, putting green, and open fire pit to good use. The hammock by our babbling brook is perfect for naps and reading.

Summer sends guests to Pole Creek Golf Course just around the corner or to music festivals, the rodeo, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, boating, horseback riding, river rafting and kayaking, or off exploring Rocky Mountain National Park!

Spring and Fall are two of the best times to visit the Outpost. The air is at its finest, with a silkiness not experienced at any other time of year, the crowds are gone and kids are in school. Spring is the best time for river rafting and fall is the best time for elk bugling and leaf looking.

Spring and fall bring special packages to the Outpost. We are well known for our fall-Murder Mysteries, Hot Springs Getaways, Horse Drawn Wagon Dinner Packages, and Romantic Runaways.

In the Winter guests can choose world class skiing at Winter Park, enjoy the thrills of skiing The Divide at Berthoud Pass, or try out the gentler slopes of Sol Vista. Plan to take a day for dog sledding, a hot air balloon tour, snowmobiling, or snow shoeing.

Cross country skiing is just out the Outpost's front door on our small trail, or just down the road at Devil's Thumb and Snow Mountain Ranch.
