Welcome to our intriguing Caribbean-style home that nature designed. The Barnacle is located on the lush tropical island of Big Pine Key, Florida, where peace and quiet and leisurely breezes prevail.

Escape the hectic world of civilization on our palm covered beach with a panoramic view of the ocean and sunset. Relax on our private, sandy beach shallow shoreline or enjoy our tiki hut, you can relax in a hammock between tall palms, take a nature walk, soak in the hot tub, ride a bicycle or take a kayak ride - here your time is your own.

After living and traveling in may interesting places around the globe, we made this lush tropical island our home. The perfect combination of luxury accommodations- quality diving services and superior value.

Tarpon and Dolphin Rooms

Tarpon and Dolphin rooms are located in the villa on the second level. Both rooms open to the atrium where the hot tub is located. An eclectic collection of furnishings provide a comfortable setting overlooking the ocean as you enjoy breakfast.

The Blue Heron Cottage & The Ocean Room

High among lush trees is the Blue Heron Cottage, a private, romantic cottage with stained glass windows and all convienences.

The Ocean Room, on the villa's lower level has a private entrance with a beach patio. Enjoy an ocean view from your bed.

For our guests peace of mind, no children under 16, and no pets. Smoking is permitted outside of rooms.

Directions

Coming from Miami International Airport - take Lejune Road South to 836 west. This connects with the Florida Turnpike, which will take you South to Florida City.

Then take Route 1 South via Key Largo, Islamorada and Marathon to Big Pine (120 miles). Exit just across Spanish Harbor Bridge (mile marker 33) taking first left across divided U.S. 1 onto Long Beach Road.

Go 1 mile, passing through private gate-posts then continue another 1/2 mile.

The Barnacle is on the left with a stone wall and identifying sign.
