Inn at Windmere
Find solace from the busyness of everyday life with a stay at the Inn at Windmere, a historic farmstead full of country charm and beauty. Set in the middle of forty sprawling acres of corn and bean fields, the Inn is a mere five minutes from a major highway and is within a 60-mile radius of numerous attractions, including the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum, World War II History Museum, historic downtown Auburn, DeBrand Fine Chocolates, Ft. Wayne Zoo, Ft. Wayne Museum of Art, Ft. Wayne Lincoln Museum, the Ft. Wayne Botanical Gardens, the Ft. Wayne Philharmonic, Shipshewana (Amish country), Blue Gate Theater, Wagon Wheel Theater, and Sauder Village.
Ample space and supplies makes the Inn a perfect haven for scrapbookers, quilters, and stampers. We offer weekend packages. Also, the local scrapbooking store gives a 15% discount to Inn guests.
Our Inn also provides perfect accommodation for the internationally-known Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival, which occurs annually over Labor Day weekend. The Festival also highlights an antique show, quilt display, home tours, and a variety of other craft displays and sales.
The Inn features three rooms: the Windmere Suite, the Lilac Room, and Treasure Abode. The Windmere Suite has a private entrance, pool access, a sitting area, an attached full bathroom, a queen bed, and wireless internet access. The Lilac Room and Treasure Abode share a full bath and each have two twin-size beds.
Guests can enjoy our pool, wrap-around porch, gazebo, full breakfast, wireless internet, exercise equipment, extensive library, fireplaces, and 100-year-old Steinway piano. Children are welcome.
Our mission is to provide our guests with a 'home away from home,' a peaceful haven that serves as a beacon of light to weary travelers in need of relaxation and refreshment.
