The Reynolds of Derwood Bed & Breakfast

A new 3 person hot tub is near the putting green.

Relax by our lighted 25 foot Waterfall using one of our private flagstone patios. One patio is at the top of the falls.

Enjoy a relaxing Sauna with a radiant heating dome of infrared heat that heats your body and not the air. You can enjoy a deep relaxing sweat and still breathe easy.

In addition to the sauna, a Treadmill, Exercise bike, and Stair Stepper are available in our Exercise room.

For those really energetic, there is a lighted Golf Driving Range and Sand trap in a completely shaded part of our property with a flagstone patio to sit and enjoy the golfer. Practice chipping, pitching, and putting on our 300 square foot, 4 hole, lighted Putting Green.

Enjoying reading and relaxing outside by the waterfall or in our sun room.

We have a large selection of videotapes for you to choose from which you can watch in your room, the den, or the exercise room. We also have Cable TV.

IBM Computer, Printer, Internet access, E-mail for your use is available.

Blueberry Hill Park is across the street where you can use lighted tennis courts, basketball court, picnic under a roof, children's play equipment, and jogging facilities.

The Williamsburg Room

The first floor wheel chair compatible Williamsburg motif bedroom has a queen size bed and antique furniture. It is located in a private wing of our home. Windows overlook woods, rock garden hill of azaleas, and holly trees.

Private bathroom is wheel chair compatible with a whirlpool bathtub and shower. Cable TV/VCR is available in the bedroom. We have a large selection of video tapes for you to enjoy. Also, available for your use is a microwave and small refrigerator in the garage.

A bright cheerful sun room is adjacent to the bedroom for quiet conversations and to enjoy your continental breakfast if you choose not to eat in the dining room or outside patios. The patios, two hot tubs, sauna, golf driving range and putting green are ready for you to use and enjoy. Our waterfall and hill rock garden are relaxing to sit, and watch the birds, chipmunks, and squirrels.

Many books about the presidents are available for you to read. You can enjoy reading copies of Kennedy's many speeches, especially his last speeches.

The President's Room

Second floor bedroom in the main house has a king size bed with a lovely view of our lighted 25 foot waterfall and go to sleep listening to the relaxing sound of the waterfall from your windows.

A private full bath is down the hall. Four paintings hang in this room given to my parents by President Lyndon B. Johnson, one painting was a gift from President John F. Kennedy, and five lithograph oil paintings were painted by President Dwight D Eisenhower.

There are also numerous photographs of Kennedy, Johnson, Bush, Nixon, and Clinton.

Many books about the presidents are available for you to read. You can enjoy reading copies of Kennedy's many speeches, especially his last speeches.

Cable TV/VCR is available in the bedroom. We have a large selection of video tapes for you to enjoy. A den with a TV/VCR is across the hall with a library and telephone. An exercise room with a sauna is inside, and two hot tubs, a golf driving range and a putting green are outside, ready for you to use and enjoy.

Our waterfall and hill rock garden is relaxing to listen and watch the birds, chipmunks, and squirrels.

The Quilt Room

The Quilt Room has antiques and original watercolors decorating the room with a wonderful quilt bedspread. It is located on the second floor across from the President's Room. It has a King size bed, TV/VCR and is a perfect room that could be used for family members and/or friends sharing the bath with the President's Room.

This room is children friendly and is occasionally used for long term occupancy for considerably lower daily rates.

Located in the Washington, DC area two minutes from Shady Grove Metro Subway station that has travel into Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia.

Shady Grove is the end of the Red line. Private auto parking and taxi service is available at the subway station. National, Dulles and Baltimore (BWI) Airports are within a forty five minute drive.

We are located just a 15 minute walk from the Shady Grove Metro station.

In fact, you could take the subway from Reagan National Airport or Union Station (for trains) and not even need to rent a car if you were just here to sightsee.

We can assist you in obtaining a limo service to drive you to our B&B from Dulles, BWI or Reagan National Airport.
