The Mystic Muse

The Mystic Muse is a newly remodelled strictly Vegetarian Bed and Breakfast on the second floor of our country home in Sanbornton, New Hampshire.

We are 90 miles north of Boston, but light-years away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Yet within a 10 minute drive, you have major Outlet Mall shopping, golf, and restaurants. We are located less than a half hour from Lake Winnipesaukee, Squam Lake (in movie 'On Golden Pond'), Newfound Lake, and Lake Winnesquam in the foothills of the White Mountains. Ski areas are located 45 minutes to one hour away.

The Green Mountains of Vermont are an hour west of us and the White Mountains of New Hampshire are one hour north of us. We are 45 minutes north of Manchester Regional airport and 90 miles north of Logan International airport. Sanbornton is a typical New England town in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.

Bedrooms furnished with antiques and handmade quilts. Private bath with restored clawfoot tub and shower. Guests have use of living room with piano and crystal chandelier, Great Room/kitchen/dining area with Tiffany stained glass lights and wood burning fireplace, and screened porch for lounging and/or eating.

Accommodations are immaculate and have private entrance. Location is on second floor of private country house. Ample off street parking for cars.

Breakfast consists of homemade bread, eggless muffins, coffee cakes, fruit salad, cereal, granola, scrambled tofu with garden herbs and cheese, fruit salad, juice, coffee, and teas. Breakfast is served on fine china that has been collected for over 50 years by mother and daughter.

We have an extensive library of books on world travel, art, mysticism, spirituality, gardening, medicine, and education. Our property is surrounded by typical New England stone walls, hundreds of ancient pine and maples, extensive perrenial gardens, woodland paths, vernal pool, seasonal stream, and water garden pond.

Rates: $75.00 per person, per night with full vegetarian breakfast, including dairy, but no eggs.

The Lotus Room has Pond/Garden/Woodland View with double size four poster bed.
The Rose Room has Garden View with private balcony and two twin beds or one king when pushed together.

We welcome well-behaved pets and children.
No Smoking is allowed on the property.
