Our 250 year old cottage in the quiet rural hamlet of Cwmisfael, Llanddarog has two en-suite double/twin bedrooms overlooking the one acre garden, patio area and stream - guests are welcome to relax in the garden and patio. The superior quality bedrooms have colour television, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Guests have the use of a separate lounge to relax and watch TV if they prefer.

We can provide traditional Welsh breakfast or continental and recommend the Butchers Arms in Llanddarog (one mile from the cottage) for lunch and dinner, but we're also happy to provide you with a packed lunch if you want to go out for the day.

The National Botanic Gardens of Wales are just two miles away and Aberglasney only 15 miles. Pembrey County Park is also 15 miles, with some of the best beaches in the area. Llanstephan is also within easy reach, with Pembrokeshire and the Coastal Path not too distant - around half to three quarters of an hour by car.

We welcome walkers and fishermen - plenty of both in the area. Peter is a fly-fisher and can recommend several places in the area.

For those who like shopping, Carmarthen is only 6 miles away and Swansea just 20 miles - both have good markets and stores, with Cardiff being just one hour away. You might also want to go to the National Folk Museum of Wales near Cardiff, which has free admission.

We regret we can't have pets (as the garden is not entirely enclosed) and we have a no-smoking rule. Our rates are very reasonable for such high quality accommodation - £28 per person per night bed and breakfast for double occupancy, £35 per person per night for single occupancy.

We had a lovely stay in a peaceful environment, where all you can hear are the birds singing. The extension is brand new and fabulously laid out. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The welsh breakfast was delicious.
