About Banda Inns and Uganda
Banda Inns is the home of Asteria Ococi & Steven Tamale, offering a homey environment to business travellers and tourists. Asteria is a Ugandan working in the tourist industry. Steven is a Norwegian Ugandan farmer.
We started B&B operations with four bedrooms August 2006 and expanded to a total of nine bedrooms in 2007. Banda Inns is located in Muyenga (Tank Hill), a quiet suburb of Kampala. Muyenga has a range of shops and restaurants, and is a popular place to live among Ugandans and international expatriates.
For most travellers Uganda is a positive experience and an eye opener, different from what you might have heard before. The trademarks are friendly people and diverse nature. In Kampala we recommend visiting various markets for food, crafts, hardware, fruits etc. to see, touch and smell some of Uganda. We also recommend to for a safari to one of the many national parks.
Apart from the general vaccinations and other basic necessities we advice visitors to follow custom code of behaviour and politeness. It will be returned in tenfold and make your stay more pleasant.
