We are a teaching couple, intended to give a home stay for visitors so that our children will have exposure to English Language and other languages. Learn the world. We love to have friends from all over the world.

You can see goats or cows almost on the street. There are paddy fields closer to house. Forest and Cinnamon plantation, if it is a cinnamon processing season, you can see the processing of cinnamon. if you can walk into the forest, you can see a hermitage, where Buddhist monks stays in small cottages and do meditation. The rain forest is 02:30 hours drive from here.

If you want to see the free roaming elephants, in Udawalawa, you can go and watch them along the electric fence. No need to buy any ticket. They are waiting by the roadside expecting food from the passers-by. You can see the elephant in the jungle, coming to the fence waiting many single, couples and may be small groups. If you are interested you can buy a ticket for Rs.500.00 (US$4 ) and see the orphan elephants be fed with milk.

You will get almost organic food. The food from here is fresh. The meat is fresh. Never kept in a refrigerator. This house does not have a refrigerator. We prefer and get fresh food. We have children at home. If you love the children, you can talk to them when you are free, or if you don’t like children they will keep away from you.

We have hosted many guest form international websites from couchsurfing and helpx. We have very good and positive references. It is not the money alone; we are thinking that we and our children get some friends from all over the world.

There nearest small towns are on one side Walasmulla and on the other side is Hakmana. The nearest beaches are Pohena, which is about 01 hour 15 mins by public bus and on the other side Tangalle, also the same distance. We can also help you or arrange airport pick up if you want.

We are 06 hours bus riding hours away from the airport. From the airport travelling by bus can cost US$ 7 to 15 depending on the bus type you choose. If you like to hire a car or van it can cost nearly US$120.00.

We can help you to rent a bicycle or any other necessary thing such as a car, van or motorbike if you need. There is no food outlets around so we will arrange your food. It is most suitable for people those who want to experience a different culture, custom, traditions, food, lifestyle and a different world .. the village people .. village life... no tourist around here, so you are the only outsider or by some chance if there is any one else staying with you at our home.
