Aurum Lodge & cottage

Aurum Lodge is situated about 25 minutes (40 km) outside Banff National Park, off Hwy 11. We are roughly halfway between Banff and Jasper and ideally located for visiting the Icefields Parkway region between Lake Louise and the Columbia Icefields, as well as the front ranges and foothills outside of the National Parks.

Our eco-tourism resort is unique in its environmentally friendly approach while providing modern, comfortable accommodation in a secluded and tranquil setting.

All rooms are smoke-free and have private bathrooms with different room options available for different budgets. A full breakfast is included with your room and dinner is available as an option for guests staying in the lodge.
We also offer some self-contained units.
Minimum stays may apply in high season.

Aurum Lodge is an adult oriented resort catering to individual travelers, couples and small special interest groups (nature, wellness, visual arts, etc.). Families are welcome in the self-contained apartment.

Activities include hiking, nature observation, climbing, trail riding, canoe tours on the river, glacier walks, cycling in summer and winter hiking, snow-shoeing, x-country skiing, ice-climbing and dog-sledding in winter.

Attractions are mostly natural, including two National Parks, an ecological reserve, mountains, streams and waterfalls, lakes, forests, local flora and wildlife. Cultural and historic attractions include First Nations and pioneer sites and historic Brazeau Colliery in Nordegg.
