Jonah Place Bed & Breakfast Inn is located in a beautiful heritage home (Nationally Registered) with Loyalist roots dating back to 1884. Named after Harry Jonah – a famous former local judge and Member of the Legislative Assembly, the home was in the Jonah family for 55 & years.

The unique details of the house have remained well preserved. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the high ceilings with decorative crown moldings, vast bay windows, impressive marble fireplaces, and “log cabin’’ style hardwood floors. Throughout the house there are beautiful antiques and period pieces.

Jonah Place offers five tastefully decorated guestrooms, one with private bathroom, the other four with ensuite baths, all equipped with every contemporary comfort, including TV, phone, DVD/VCR, books, magazines, and free Wi-Fi Internet.

In the sunny breakfast room a delicious breakfast is served, prepared with fresh and regional products. Guests have a choice of five menu items, changed daily. For guest comfort we offer a hot beverage station and refrigerator, along with our famous “late night Munchie basket”.

Jonah Place offers two spacious and comfortable main floor parlors, where one can relax and enjoy reading or conversation. Why not try one of our tandem bicycles to explore the area and admire its natural beauty, historic covered bridges and Sussex’s 26 impressive murals painted by world-renowned artists.

A variety of restaurants and shops are only a few minutes away.
Sussex’s central location in southern New Brunswick makes Jonah Place an excellent central point from which to make daytrips. Many exciting sites worth seeing in the area are Fundy National Park, the Fundy Trail Parkway, Hopewell Rocks, St. Martins sea caves, Covered Bridges and of course the cities of Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton.

Located only 10 kilometres from one of Atlantic Canada’s premier ski and snowboard areas – Poley Mountain, Jonah Place is also a great destination to visit in the winter. The ocean is a mere 30 minutes from your room and offers whale watching, cave kayaking and many other activities and exploration points.
