Abadin European Style Bed & Breakfast between Montreal & Ottawa

After Ed and I both had worked in the field of psychological and social services, we moved on to the tourism and travel business and bought a motel. That was a pretty exciting move since we had no experience in this profession. After running the motel business for a decade, and I might say that we were very successful, we were fortunate to collect a wealth of experience on how to serve guests well.

We decided to retire to a much smaller scale in which we hope to accomplish all the luxurious and individual service we ourselves would like to receive at a comfortable and luxurious Bed and Breakfast. Being an artist (Shirley), I wanted our B&B to be like a little Private Gallery for our guests. Not only do I love to show my Personal Art, but I also enjoy showcasing Local Talent as well.

Our Bed and Breakfast was named after a small municipality in the province of Lugo, Galicia, Spain, which Ed and I travelled through when we were still living in Europe.
We chose the Ottawa valley area as the perfect place to fulfil our dreams. For the last three years we had looked for the right place and we are convinced we found it in this house on 612 Bobois Street in L`Orignal-Hawkesbury, Ontario.

This excellent location combines all the elements Ed and I had in mind. It is located on a cul-de-sac with access to the Ottawa River. Guests have a beautiful view at the River from all front rooms. We had guests falling asleep for hrs, lounging in their chairs at the river bank while watching ships go by.

The proximity to two of our major Canadian cities was an important factor in our decision to purchase this place. The ABADIN B & B is conveniently located midway between Ottawa and Montreal on Hwy 17 and just an hour North of the US border as well as a stone's throw from the bridge over the Ottawa River to Quebec. We also offer meeting facility to small business groups.

You can settle on our 3 level deck and watch the sunset.
