The Parlour Inn
Located in downtown Stratford The Parlour Inn, originally called The Mansion House, was built in 1871 to serve the Grand Trunk Railway and repair facility nearby. Back then, it consisted of 36 guestrooms and a dining room.
At the time, the hotel had a special ladies waiting room where women were required to wait while their husbands finished business and social meetings. We’ve come a long way baby!
Since then, The Parlour Inn has undergone many incarnations, but most recently, we have been a popular hotel and Gastropub catering to locals and of course, our regular Festival Theatre goers! The restaurant is decorated with classic features such as beautiful woodwork, tin ceilings and stained glass windows, all of which are a nod to our 18th century origins.
In keeping with the character of the original building but with a modern touch, the guestrooms are designed with unique layouts, queen and king sized beds, whirlpool bathtubs and luxurious bedding.
The Parlour Inn is located just one block from the Avon Theatre and Studio Theatres, two of four stages of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.
This historic boutique hotel has been a landmark in downtown Stratford since 1871. And while we have kept the charm, character and central location over the last century.
The Parlour Inn has added all the luxuries and amenities one expects from the best hotels around the world. Our warm atmosphere and professional staff will make the The Parlour Inn one of the highlights of your visit to The Festival City, any time of year.
