Julie and Iain would love to welcome you to their family home Townend Farm for that well deserved break.

Townend Farm is a large farmhouse decorated and furnished to a very high standard, constructed from local sandstone in the 1800s set in its own grounds with our own original well and has stunning countryside views.

You will receive a very warm and friendly welcome on your arrival and a hearty breakfast to set you up for your days exploring the surrounding area.
We are proud to have recently been awarded a Breakfast Award by Visit Britain so be reassured of a great quality breakfast experience.

We are ideally located for guests attending functions at Grinkle Park Hotel being only 2 miles from door to door.
We offer ample private parking and also secure storage for motorbikes or cycles is available.

Townend Farm is nestled in the heart of the small village of Easington, at the gateway to the North York Moors National Park ideally situated on the A174 coast road between the picturesque coastal towns of Saltburn and Whitby, offering high standard bed and breakfast accommodation.

This is a fantastic area to visit with the delights of Whitby and the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors & Heritage Coastline.
Take in the naturally stunning countryside and the spectacular coastline along the Cleveland way.

Whitby is a working fishing port, renown for the dramatic tales of Dracula by Bram Stoker, though more recently the spectacular Goth / Gothic weekends and the yearly Regatta. In Whitby you can take part in some of the Ghost Walks or just treat yourself to fish and chips in one of the many award winning fish and chip restaurants .
So make Townend Farm bed and breakfast your base whilst exploring this beautiful area.

Visit local attractions such as Eden Camp or take a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway where there is always something for everyone from sceneic views and a wide range of attractions all the way to Whitby.

Take in the coastal treasures of Staithes and Runswick Bay, great for all you fossil hunters or Saltburn for the beautiful coast line and pier.

Take a trip to the quaint market town of Guisborough or larger tourist destinations such as Robin Hoods bay, Scarborough, Filey or the cities of York and Durham all within reach.

We have 3 comfortable and spacious rooms available, Glaisdale is our twin room, Farndale the double room and Rosedale a spacious Family room and cots are available free of charge on request.

All of our rooms have superb en-suite shower facilities towels and toiletries are provided, some of the other features in our rooms include a modern wall mounted flat screen television with DVD/CD built in,so do remember to pack those favourites.
There are tea and coffee making provisions available in each room with fresh milk, hair dryers and bathrobes are provided for your convenience. WI Fi is available free of charge.
(ironing provisions are also available on request).
All of the rooms have amazing views of the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Breakfast is normally served between
8.30am & 9.00am Monday to Friday
9.00am & 9.30am Saturday and Sunday,

A choice of tea or coffee and 3 varieties of chilled fruit juices are available every morning along with fruit , yogurt and cereal .This can be followed by a Full English breakfast including locally sourced bacon,sausage and black pudding with free range eggs collected from our own hens.
If you have any special dietary requirements e.g. vegetarian, vegan or gluten free or need an alternative breakfast times then please notify us as soon as possible and we will do our utmost to accommodate your requests

However should you need, please feel free to make use of the grounds where seating is provided.
If the duration your stay allows you could take time to watch our ducks, chickens and geese in the 4 acres st the rear of the Farmhouse.
