Chy An Eglos BB

Situated in the heart of this quaint Cornish Village, Chy-an-Eglos (which is Cornish for House by the Church) was originally built as a Victorian Village shop. After an extensive renovation it is now a family run Bed and Breakfast. We offer two very comfortable rooms. 'The Cream Room' is a double with 5ft bed and large en-suite with bath and separate shower.

'The Blue room' is a double (5ft bed) or twin/triple with en-suite shower. Both rooms have 19' flat screen digital/freeview tv,s, Tea and Coffee making facilities plus alarm clocks and hair dryers, an ironing facility on request. A two minute stroll away is the Village Pub, which serves a varied menu at both lunchtime and in the evening.

There is also a wide choice of Pubs within 3 miles, all serving a very varied menu. A full cooked Cornish Breakfast with a vegetarian option is available. including cereals, fresh fruit and juices, Preserves toast and tea & coffee. Breakfast is usually served between 8am and 9am. Although there is a degree of flexibility.

Guests also have use of their own lounge to relax in with TV and a choice of local papers and magazines.

The Village is very central for touring all parts of Cornwall. Truro is only 9 mile away for those that enjoy browsing the shops, or having a night at the Theatre. You can also do boat trips along the river Fal. Holywell and Perranporth beaches are only 3 and 5 miles away. The Eden Project is also only 40 minutes away. And for the more adventurous the very open cliff top 'Minack Theatre' is within a 50 minute car journey.

Cyclists are very welcome as St Newlyn East is on cycle rout 32, part of the 'Cornish Way' and is a popular stop for the 'End to Enders ' We have secure inside cycle storage, and can offer a luggage drop off service. For those cyclists who base themselves here, and wish to end the days cycling back in the Village we can drop them at their chosen starting point. There is a nominal charge for cyclists/luggage delivery service.
