A detached cottage nestling in a tranquil rural setting and yet just 5-6 minutes drive from the safe sandy beach resort of Marazion. The magical St Michaels Mount with it’s fairytale castle sits in one of 'The most Beautiful Bays in the World'. Join the cycle path and it will take you mainly off-road, through the valley, alongside the Marazion Marshes (a very popular destination for birdwatchers), and onto the beach or the seaside route to Penzance.

There are lovely country walks, and splendid cliff top scenery is enjoyed from the nearby coastal pathways. Marazion & Penzance have a good variety of shops, cafés, restaurants and traditional pubs. Penzance with its long promenade for leisurely walks bustles with visitors and locals enjoying the lovely views along the sea front.

Transport links to the Isles Of Scilly leave from the harbour or the nearby Heliport. The A30 takes you to West Penwith & the famous tourist destination of Lands End. The old mining town of St Just is found on the north coast. The famous town of St Ives with its wonderful beaches & quaint narrow streets offers visitors the chance to visit St Ives Tate Modern.

Chyvellan Cottage lies between the A30 & the South Coast with its many coves & beaches such as Perranuthnoe, Praa Sands & Prussia Cove, & the fishing village of Porthleven. Inland you find Helston well known for the Famous Flora Dance. Jutting out to the south is the Lizard Peninsular with its rugged cliffs and moorland.
