Castle View B & B
Castle View B&B is situated in a quiet lane on the north slope of the Kensey Valley, with views across to the town of Launceston and its castle on the south side.
The house is about 1 mile from the centre of Launceston. By road the house is 1.3 miles from the A30. The nearest railway stations are Plymouth, 29 miles and Bodmin, 25 miles.
Launceston is on the Devon border and is the gateway to, and a former capital of Cornwall. Launceston town centre is about a mile walk (mainly uphill) with the castle and its views at the highest point. On the way you will pass Launceston Steam Railway, which runs for two miles along the valley.
With all of Cornwall to the west, easy, equal access to the north and south coasts and Dartmoor and the towns of Devon to the east, it is an ideal base from which to explore the West Country.
The accommodation consists of three large double rooms all with en suite. Each bedroom has a Freeview TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and free wifi.
Breakfast is served in the conservatory, from which guests can enjoy a full view of the garden. The conservatory is beautifully built and spacious where guests can relax before they start their journey for the day.
The entrance door and ground floor are accessed via 6 steps from the drive. Bedroom 3 is on this floor. Bedrooms 1 & 2 and the dining room are on the 1st floor, which is accessed via an internal flight of 16 steps. Due to this layout, we regret we are unable to provide wheelchair access. We are also unable to take pets.
